About Jenna

Sometimes your fly fishing gear doesn't fit.

I am a mid-20’s single gal, 4-years out of college, and experiencing all sorts of fun new things in my life. Every time I embark on a new adventure, I’ve thought “man, I wish I knew someone (other than my dear, sweet madre) who’s done this before.” I love my mom with all of my heart, and I typically go to her when trying new things, but it’s not always the best source of advice, as we tend to neglect our poor mother’s and get offended easily when things aren’t quite going our way…

So here comes this idea: every time I try something I have never done before (i.e. making my very first full Thanksgiving Feast for 8 people!) I will write about it, and share my experiences, in hopes that someone else will take away something useful.

Oh and more about me…

I am a McKinney, TX native who went to Austin to attend The University of Texas (hook ’em!). After graduating, I jumped straight into adult life and tried to immediately grow up and be 100% independent. FAIL. Major fail. I learned a lot, and I am still learning. I currently live in Frisco, TX and am in my 4th year of teaching middle school Theatre. I adore my job; I feel lucky every day that I get to enjoy what I do.

Here’s to learning that just because you don’t get it right the first time, doesn’t mean that you should stop trying 🙂

Happy reading!
